Partyman World of Play

Great for the kids, lovely polite staff members and some nice food and snacks :)

This place has a lot of potential. Like a lot. The softplay itself is in good condition with a huge variety of stuff for the kids of all ages to do, it’s nice as an adult not to have to crawl around too lol the kids have had a blast in the short time we had here☺️ HOWEVER, in the current temperatures it’s a bit of a flop. There is 0 air con, or air flow in general in the entire unit and it’s an industrial unit so it’s absorbing heat like a sponge. All the windows are shut, and even the shutter door is shut (could open it and it wouldn’t be a a health and safety hazard because no one can get to it but at least it wouldn’t ventilate the place). It’s currently hotter inside than outside and I count a singular fan… in the entire place… and this place is huge… so I think the 10 windows there is should be open at a bare minimum and owners should consider opening the giant metal shutters too it would make a HUGE difference to the suffocating lack of oxygen in the place. Also the prices… if you have an hour before you shut (which is crazy on a weekend anyway) then you should cut your entry prices to reflect that. But currently the prices here are on par with prices in north London which for Cambridge reallllyyyy took me by surprise. That’s for food/drinks and entry. I think if at least there was some decent ventilation and cooling this place would be FAR more packed and popular but I can tell by the reviews a lot of people feel it’s far too hot in here (for the parents let alone the kids running around) to be coming here. It would be a shame for the place to close because of this.

Felt the need to leave a review considering there are multiple defamatory reviews which are incorrect. As a muslim myself, I always feel warmly welcomed by all the staff and we have come here several times. It is not fair for customers to use their skin colour or religion as an excuse to get a power trip when the staff have done nothing wrong- They even employ muslims and POC, so clearly racism is not an issue within this place. It does get very hot during the summer but staff do give warnings before you pay so it is your own responsibility if you continue to enter.
