Excellent facilities after reopening

I have been a member at the Wallnuts Leisure Centre for many years but needed to refresh how I used the gym. I decided to have a couple of sessions with a personal trainer. On my first session with the brilliant Alex Seppings I was delighted to find her waiting for me at reception. Even as we made our way to the gym she engaged with me about what I wanted to achieve, what my goals might be and any injuries I might have. Our conversation helped me feel less anxious. We had an amazing hour where she instructed and advised me on the use of equipment including posture which takes pressure off my weak areas such as back and knees. Our final session was just as thorough and enjoyable. Alex is such an engaging and professional member of your team that I hope you will value and encourage her in young and definitely promising career going forward.

I’ve been training with Alex at Walnuts / Beckenham Spa Leisure Centre for the past three months and can’t recommend her highly enough. As a 57-year-old man, I wanted training that was practical, varied and focused on functional strength and fitness. Alex has been excellent at putting together a really varied range of functional gym exercises, keeping every session interesting and challenging without feeling repetitive. She’s extremely friendly, encouraging and motivating, and has a great way of pushing you to improve while keeping the sessions enjoyable. I’ve learned a lot from her and have definitely felt the benefit of the training. An excellent PT and super highly recommended!
