Fun Shack

Been going to the funshack in Newcastle for the last 3 years and never had an issue until I went on the 11th August. My son has autism and booked the early session for 10am so it was quiet. I Asked a staff member if I could supervise my son while there that wasn’t a problem but like to ask. My son was on the air bed at the top of the soft play to which a child started to pick on my son which I stopped instantly and the staff member actually removed the children from that area. Two children what I would say were about 14 (manager Vicky) said differently were being rough with each at the corner of the air bed signs state don’t jump on the corners while my son was on it. The girl pushed her friend onto it and the other jumped on top of her friend making my son catapult into the air he’s gone falling down the safety netting with his face and instead of falling onto the cushioned floor he’s gone face first into the metal frame work in the bottom. Children will be rough and play I totally understand that it was the lack of care and concern what came from the staff there, the lass supervising the air bed watched it all happen and didn’t do a thing she watched me struggling to climb down the soft play floors with my son face bleeding and him screaming in pain. No first aid was called, nothing reported or logged in the accident and emergency book that was offered to be sent out when I called to complain. No manager came out and not one member of staff asked if he was ok or showed interest in making sure he was ok either. He left screaming and his face bleeding and the staff just smiled. My son has gone to hospital for a broken nose & a check up I’ve complained to the manager Vicky the staff are apparently getting told off it’s not in there policy to treat customers like my son was. And I was offered “freebie tickets” to come back. It’s sad that this has happened to my son and sadly won’t be returning to any of the franchises in the future. Sad there was no compassion or care or I wouldn’t have wrote this review.

We had a fantastic day here with the grandkids, we had a delicious lunch here as well.
