Oxygen York

Expensive but good soft play area well organised, with good supervision, not stifling but helpful and reassuring. Food was OK, on the high side of the fast food market. No external food allowed in, which seems a common theme of these places. We took advantage of the 90 minutes for the price of 60 minutes. Oxygen Socks were £3 if you hadn't previously purchased them. Water was free, toilets were clean. They run a coloured wrist band system, and when your colour is called your session stops. One difference here is they run competition/challenges every hour, and our kids loved it. Parking was adequate and free for four hours. It's situated in the old Argos building on the Clifton Moor site, next to McDonald's, with Home Bargains, Food Warehouse and a new Lidl being prepared (Sept 2026).

We were visiting York on a cold and rainy day, and couldn't check into our accommodation until the afternoon, so we came to Oxygen to let the kids burn some energy. They absolutely loved it, came back drenched in sweat from running and jumping so much, had a quick drink, and ran off to go again! A few of the staff announcements were a combination of far too loud and unintelligible, which was unnecessary.

Wasn’t great … the place is good but staff don’t know what they’re doing, 2/3 toilets broken and the staff didn’t know where the other toilet was! …. The very young person behind counter took forever to make any drinks etc
